Frequently asked questions — preparing for sale

Does home staging really help you sell for more?

Yes. A tidy, clean and neutrally arranged apartment attracts more interested buyers and better offers, and it also shortens the time to sale. The most important things are tidiness, good light and professional photos — and the costs are usually small compared with the effect.

How much does it cost to prepare an apartment for sale?

Most often a small outlay is enough: a thorough clean, depersonalising, minor repairs and possibly freshening up the walls. That is an expense of a few hundred złoty, which usually pays for itself in a higher price and a shorter time to sale. It is not worth investing in costly renovations tailored to a specific buyer.

Do you have to renovate an apartment before selling it?

Usually not. It is better to focus on cleanliness, minor repairs and a neutral look than on a major renovation that the buyer may not appreciate anyway, because they prefer to arrange the interior their own way. The exception is defects that put people off (e.g. a dripping tap, tiles coming away).

What discourages buyers the most in photos?

Clutter, overly personal items, dark and blurry photos and dirty windows. That is why, before the shoot, we tidy up, let in as much light as possible and use a professional photographer.
